- Soft, comfortable... do the job -
  These socks are very comfortable. The are very soft... almost like combed cotton. The color is great and hasn't faded and the fit is perfect for a size 10 foot. For comparison-- I wear mainly lofer-style shoes from Johnson & Murphy and Cole Hahn, and while my foot moves around in them and can wear socks quickly, I've had these socks for a few months now and they seem to be holding up well. No complaints and I would buy again.

  These are comfortable, good quality, fashionable socks. They do what socks are supposed to do. And free 2nd day delivery by Amazon Prime really helped out since I had accidentally put all my black socks in storage and needed something fast.

- Inferior fabric quality; doesn't stay up -
  I've only worn each pair of socks about 3 times and the area where the big toe normally would be is already starting to fray. The only upside to that is I can identify the left from the right by looking to see where the fraying is. Another thing is that these socks always seem to slip down to just above the ankle through the course of a day, and I have to pull them up every few hours. These are supposed to be crew length. If I wanted ankle length, I would have bought those instead. To be fair, I only have one other brand of crew length bamboo socks, and those slip down too (I've never had cotton dress socks that slip this much during the course of a normal day).

Bamboo socks are supposed to absorb more moisture and allow better air circulation than cotton socks (at least that's what I've read on The Mighty Google), but I don't seem to notice much of a difference on a hot day as compared with standard cotton dress socks.

Overall, I would not recommend these Nautica brand socks as I believe the fabric quality is inferior. In general, I would not recommend bamboo dress socks over cotton ones (especially if the bamboo ones cost more).

  So I never thought I would review socks. They're such a utilitarian part of the wardrobe, after all. And these don't change that. But, wow, these are the most comfortable, utilitarian socks I've ever owned. I have no idea whether they compete with the designer socks you see selling for $30/pair, because I refuse to pay that for a pair of socks. But out of all the socks I've ever worn, nothing compares with these. They stay up better than most, and the feel of them is great. The patterns are nothing flashy, but nothing wrong with them either. I know you probably think I'm crazy for being this enthusiastic about socks, but just try them for yourself.
